League Rules

LEAGUE ETIQUETTE

• Don’t be an Ass – Rule #1

• This is a NO DRAMA, NO BS League, Rule #2

• If either Rule #1 or #2 are broken or in question, you will be removed.

• Patience and professionalism is expected to be shown for the beginner/intermediate drivers when mistakes happen as ORRL is a league for them to grow and hone their skills as they progress their skill level in our community

• Calling out other drivers, especially beginners, will not be tolerated.

• Violations of League Etiquette are subject to immediate black flags, EOL’s, points penalties or Disqualification at the Race Controls Discretion. All Etiquette violations will be reviewed by the league board of Commissioners (Series Commissioners and Admin)

• This is a FREE entry league. League donations will be requested occasionally to maintain broadcast fees, streaming fees/license and session costs but are NOT required.

• ORRL respects all races, religions, sexual orientations, political views, colors and creeds and we will not discriminate on any of the aforementioned. We all share similar beliefs, but we respect diverse thoughts and opinions as well.

• IF YOU ARE ANTI-POLICE OR MILITARY YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THIS LEAGUE. There are plenty of social platforms to talk about your misguided disgust of these 2 issues, this IS NOT that place. Feel free to join one of those other leagues if your ignorance guides you that way.

Attendance

• We have an “open door” policy. Everyone has a life outside of iRacing and you are not expected to make every race and will not be punished/persecuted for doing so. Please advise the proper Series commissioners if you intend to miss the upcoming race to be awarded possible Drop Race Points.

• Continuously missing races while at the same time not being active on Discord, Facebook or responding to and/or reaching out to Series Commissioners will result in forfeit of Roster Number and/or Series removal to make room for drivers on the waiting list. If in communication, your spot will always be there for you when your schedule permits.

Racing:

• Initial Green flag goes on iRacing Green flag, all subsequent re-starts go on the leader

• Jumping the restart will result in a black flag, green flag pass through penalty

• Double File Restarts – field must be packed tight. There should be no less than 1 (one) car length between cars coming to the green flag. Hanging back to jump the restart will result in a black flag/Green flag pass through penalty and/or 5 point penalty following the race. This will Not be tolerated

• More than one violation of the same rule will result in 1 race suspension

• No passing below the yellow line. This will result in a black flag/green flag pass through penalty

• Racing/passing under the white line is permitted (i.e. Kansas, Chicagoland etc) but the outside car is not expected to let you back into their race line. Attempt at your own risk

• Black Flags will not be cleared under any circumstances.

Speeding on Pit road or pit entrance will not be cleared

• Unsafe pit exits will not be cleared

• These penalties are reviewable in iRacing. If a driver is caught lying about a penalty given, there will be a 10 point deduction in standings and 1 race suspension

• Blocking is not permitted unless it is the white flag lap (last 2 laps on short tracks). If you block, and a bump and run is attempted, the trailing driver will not be penalized. Blocking/Bump and runs are STRONGLY discouraged. If you lose position on the track you are expected to cleanly race your way out of it, or give up the position and cleanly gain it back

• Dive Bombing is not permitted. If you are stuck on the inside lane, you are expected to back the corner up to prevent pushing up into the outside car. Unsafely Dive bombing will get a warning, followed by a penalty at RC discretion and then DQ

• Outside line – The outside line is expected to leave a car length space for the inside driver. The outside line is expected to go out to the wall on corner exit to give the inside driver the most optimal lane on exit. Intentionally pinching down on the inside car is subject to penalty at RC discretion.

• Intentionally Wrecking will be automatic DQ, 15 point deduction and 1 race suspension as well as turned over to review to league board of commissioners for review of possible League Removal.

• All penalties are subject to appeal

Lapped traffic is expected to defer the preferred racing line to the lead lap cars

• Lapped traffic on new tires is allowed to race past lead lap cars to gain position and lap time. In this instance, lead lap cars are expected to let new tires safely by and not block their position.

• Lucky Dogs/Wave arounds are controlled by iRacing. Lucky Dog must call out on radio and lead traffic should move to the bottom of the track to allow pass. Additional Wave arounds may occur at discretion of RC

Yellow/Cautions

• Pace car speed should be maintained at all times under caution. Failure to do so will result in an EOL

• When initial caution comes out, the field must catch up to the pace car. The field will THEN be expected to line up after the pace speed is reached. Black flags given in this instance will be cleared by RC. Do not completely slow down when the caution comes out unless the race incident occurs In front of you. Race leaders will update on pace car location • When an incident occurs and is called out, drivers are expected to check up and prevent further incident at all costs. Failure to do so will result in an EOL. The field is Frozen under yellow! There is no reason to bulldoze through it unless it is your only option due to speed and race conditions

Driver causing a yellow flag may result in an EOL. If you cause a yellow, you are expected to admit it and apologize if appropriate. Calling out other drivers will not be tolerated.

• If a car is under power due to an incident, the driver must key up on iRacing comms and notify RC to be issued an EOL to prevent black flags from being issued to passing drivers.

• Teammates may attempt to push a car to pit road at your own risk but may acquire an EOL as well if they cannot get back into position by start/finish line

• If upon restart you notice your car is under power, you are expected to immediately call out on comms and drop to apron to let the field by, or out to wall if on outside line
